Chevy Silverado Shoots Wed.
So I went out for the Mott's audition about 2 weeks ago only to find that there was no Mott's audition at that time or on that day... Well, as I stood there wondering if I had screwed up or if it was someone else, a different casting director for a Chevy audition down the hall spotted me and said, "Come on over here, you're in the right place. We can spot you guys a mile away", 'cause she was auditioning guys similar to me. Okay, I'll check it out even though these other guys had the "construction" look and I was in my "casual Dad/Uncle who can do magic tricks for kids at a party" wardrobe. I told them before I the camera rolled that I actually didn't get called in for this role, but they said they wanted to see me anyway, that I'd be perfect for the part. Well, I guess I was... they called me back and asked me to bring my son, too. So on Wednesday, Ethan and I get to play baseball, have some great grub and shoot another commercial together!
The Mott's audition was mistakenly posted the wrong day. I guess that one worked out pretty well too!
Makes you think a lot about perspective. I could have been pretty upset that I went all the way out to Hollywood for an audition that wasn't until the next day, but why get all worked up? God had something else in store and I don't think it was a coincidence...
Look for these around springtime!
