Alright, so this one was a little bit shorter than the Malibu Tri, but I guess that's better for me because I ended up getting first place in the Hermosa Triathlon in the Clydesdale division last month!  I had a great swim (1st) and a fast bike (1st), so I knew that as long as no other Clydesdales passed me on the run that I would get the gold.  My son Ethan asked me the day before if I thought I was going to get the gold and I told him that I thought I would get a medal, but not the gold because I hadn't trained hard enough to get the gold.  He said that he knew I was going to win the gold.  The pressure was on!  Glad I didn't let the little guy down!  Probably just do Olympic triathlons from now on so I'll try to get a medal in one of those next year!
